Twirl | And/or...is actually one of the Kings a real lover or would the knights show up as a comitted love? I cannot seem to decide. I rather see the Page of Cups in regards to love readings than let's say, A King of Wands (because I have never seen him stay). Page of Cups is the most lovely one to get from the courts in my opinion. What do you think? ------------------ Tarot Readings & Dream interpretations by me ~ Rewrite your destination ~ |
MinceyMouse | King of Pents (not reversed) in my deck.. Committed and headstrong- stable. Is the love people look for. Page of Cups is a good card to have, but not indicative of romantic love, but attachment. Think friends/family commitment. The sun is okay, but male tends to be pulled in many different directions. I can't think of any more off the bat. Note that my deck is not conventional- so the imagery is different. |

happyaskings | Think it depends on the questioners personal definition of love as everyone has something different that they are looking for and each of the kings/knights have something unique that they bring to the table. Just depends on what you're looking for in a "lover". Pages stick out more as crushes for me. My experience has actually been the opposite, I was in a realtionship with a KNoW for 4 years, although he was initially a huge player. Page of Cups has always been passionate but quite short lived. KNoP has also been disappointing for me...mainly because I just haven't got the time or patience to deal with their lazy pacing haha! |
Twirl | I just wondered where my post went! Thought I posted it at TTLG. I think it belongs there, but I accidentally put it here. Sorry mods! Thanks for the replies: I think the King of a Pentacles can be okay-ish, but in my experience he is often just busy with HIS world & a bit of a d*ck, not that much busy with the world of his love interest. Cups I like too as the more romantic suit, Ellyn. |

Jerseyshore | I see it as Wands - passion Swords - anxiety Pentacles - practicality (maybe responsibility even) Cups - romance I'd take cups any day of the week

Me too. However the King Wands might fade away, his flame will return as he's passion. The wand leads this King. Whereas the King of Chalice will have that 'inner knowing, sensitivity' that a woman may need once she's near 30. These two differ in a way like King Arthur + Henri Tudor. The second was lusting, wanting an heir - yet the body in his bed far most important. Arthur true to heart, sensitive King. |
Voix_de_la_Mer | IMHO it depends on two things: the emotional needs of the querent and the maturity of the figure cards. Pages are students of life, still learning about relationships, experimenting and learning about themselves emotionally. Knights have graduated from the school of life and are now putting their knowledge into practice. They are capable of commitment as they are in the 'building a foundation' stage of life. Kings are masters of their suit and through the stages of being a page and a knight, they have reached a position of wisdom and consultancy. For this reason, they are the most capable of lasting commitment. They know the world and themselves and can make informed decisions about others with confidence. The emotional needs of the querent will determine whether they are more compatible with wands, swords, pentacles or cups figures. ------------------ Face a situation fearlessly, and there is no situation to face ~ Florence Scovel Shinn ~ |
